The red bike was faster
In the latest print edition of Bicycle Quarterly, there is an article about Genevieve Gambillon who won the Woman's World Championship Road Race in 1972. She had two identical bikes built by Rene Herse, But the red one was faster. Hmmm?

Actually, I have gone faster on this red than any orange I've ever ridden. Must be the inline twin engine, but if the road tips down - it's a single rider's record opportunity.
