1976 Austro Daimler build
Here is a brief description of my build on the Austro Daimler frame I picked up from Andy_K .
The frame is believed to be a 1976 Ultima in Andy's thread.
As a winter project I've just gotten it outside for a few pictures now that the snow is mostly gone. I have not yet ridden it, today is a bit cool for me (23F).
The wheelset was from a Trek 720, with Matrix Titan T rims and Maillard hubs. The front hub is a Maillard Professional, the rear hub is a Helicomatic 700 Pro. This rear hub is different from earlier Helicomatic hubs with 3/16 bearings, a fine threaded axle and cones equipped with labyrinth seals. Rebuild on the hubs shows no damage to the cones or cups, new ball bearings installed.
The groupset is Shimano RSX, nothing fancy here. I did the teardown on the brifters to clean and lube the works. Seems to work nicely, I'll know more when I get the first ride in. The six speed freewheel works pretty well with indexed shifting as it did on another bike I built.
Handlebars are Cinelli with 1A stem so far. This stem is a bit shorter than I would normally install, I may switch to a longer one.
Dual pivot calipers with Kool Stop brake pads and Panaracer tires.
Brooks B17 Softened.
Some pics,

Nice. I have a '76 Vent Noir which is a sweet ride. Pretty noodly in size 25", but smooth, speedy, and great for riding brevets.

Looking good! The frame pump is a nice addition.
