Dandelions serve a wonderful role. First off, they are a major source of early food for pollinators. Secondly, purple house finches love the fluffy seeds. Finally, the long taproot will help break up soil compaction common in many lawns.

And I might not until after mid-june when the dandelions stop flowering.

If you're going to ask me to get a lawn treatment, I'd say my lawn has been chemical free for thirty years and happily has wild strawberries too. So I'm not going back to contributing to algae bloom and dead coastal waters.

Thanks.
My father paid my brother and I a penny for every ten dandelions we picked, once. We made a couple bucks. That's a lot of dandelions!

what is it w/ Fathers & weeding? I guess chemicals & mulch weren't big back then? I still have scars on both index fingers from weeding around the pachysandra bed, before it all filled in. 50 years later, I stole some & planted it in my current backyard! ha!

One drugged and serially ***** hundreds of women (and joked about it) and the other possibly inappropriately touched a step daughter and married another step daughter now going on 25 years.

I run into some of my old riding buddies in the gym and they have all gone electric and ride off road. I may get an electric to play with eventually, but I will be riding 50 miles a day by June. I am encountering very nasty people in cars on the road, even worse than it used to be. With gas prices soaring, supply chains causing high prices of groceries and liquor stores being declared essential businesses, I feel I am in more danger now from drivers than ever before. The roads are jammed with traffic all day long when in years past people had jobs. If these people have no jobs and no money where the hell are they all going at 2pm on a Monday? My guess is they are on their way to the liquor store, and I am slowing them down.

I don't know, but after we moved to Tucson, raking the gravel and sweeping the sidewalks were added. He wouldn't spring for plastic under the gravel. Now I weed my street for goatheads...

I like the fact that you have a designated "Wal Mart Day"

I may have to incorporate that only mine will be a "Sams Club and Sprouts Day"

We can add Garrison Keillor and Al Franken to that list as well.

"We" can also ignore such "unpopular in the eye of the public" (i.e.viral social media rant) lists.

I arrange cycling days by the weather forecast and any medical appointments. Everything else is flexible, so I have no prescribed days for anything so I can ride. Cycling is my priority and everything else can slide around it. But that’s only my priority.
