small bag for aero bars?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

small bag for aero bars?

I'm gearing up for some bike packing/ light touring. Just got some Profile Designs aero bars and love em. I'd like to take advantage of the extra space to lash a small bag either on top of or between the aero bars.

Any recommendations? I was thinking of using a seatbag and additional voile strap to secure it if I couldn't find something specific.

Thanks

I put straps there and in hot climates, a 32 oz water bottle goes there to supplement the two bottles on the bike. I can also fit a footlong there.

Apidura makes a racing bar bag that attaches to the bars and hangs below.

You got aero bars and you are going to lash a bag to them. Temporary, just for a ride or for most all rides?

If it's just the aesthetic of them I guess I can understand that. But you have to admit there is a lot of humor in that.

Bars like that are not just for aerodynamics. Note, OP asked in reference to bikepacking and touring. Aero bar with water bottle or bag could well be lower CdA but such a rider is interested more in comfort.

I got the bars for comfort and multiple positions. The aero part is a bonus

have more spots to attach things is another bonus

Restrap makes a good looking 7l bag specifically for aero bars. I actually have one on order still waiting on shipping. AFAIK apidura is the only other off the shelf aero bar bag, but it's much smaller at 2.5l.
