Be careful what you wish for.

Besides, if someone was going to go after me with a movie reference in this thread, it should have been to Blanche DuBois' reliance on the kindness of strangers.

Seriously, PBC needs a remedial insult-making tutorial.

I just remembered a camping site on the Rhine or was it the Rhone, but for sure the pretty lady waking me with coffee at my tent was German. She asked if I wanted to drink it in her caravan. Being a morning man, I was jumping to attention. Alas, her mann was there at the caravan table but that coffee was great. They followed cycle racing and we talked a bit. Sometimes our fears (and hopes) get the better of us.

I love Mr. Leghorn, Mel Blanc is a god to me. You just picked a completely lame and random clip, poorly edited by whoever put it on YouTube. It's like 45% of a gag. I'm not dissin the cartoon, but that video clip sucks, and it's just sad you posted it.

Do you need me to explain why I posted the poisoned apple bit?

I'm mostly with you in this argument, but I know a cycling tourist and his wife who were invited to tea by a stranger at a campsite in Southeast Asia and woke up at 11 am next day feeling dizzy. Their passports, credit cards, cameras, etc. were gone.

Perhaps I am more willing to offer assistance than others here because I am always prepared to defend myself. Make of that what you will.

OK, it happened once in Southeast Asia and the story the other guy freaked out at bore no resemblance to that situation.
I know two women who have had their drinks spiked at bars.

Here's a statement from Vinton Cerf in which he gives Gore a whole lot of credit for getting the internet up and running, and free of government control.

If you actually know who Vinton Cerf is, you'll understand the significance of this.

If anyone could be said to have "invented the internet", there's the guy.
