For Trek fans
I am not much of a Trek guy (except for the 670 I am building up), but I would be plenty of tempted by this one. 1981 Trek 720 56cm $250. Pre-cantis.

** Seller is of the "hit-it-with-the-power-washer" school of cleaning
https://tucson.craigslist.org/bik/d/...437971815.html
This classic Schwinn Voyageur road bike is ideal for commuting around town or longer tours.
Shimano Tourney Xt drivetrain is 3x5 for 15 speeds. Largest chainrings are similar size for dialing in the flat terrain or downhills.
Wolber Modele 58 Super Champion 27" wheels, made in France.
Brakes are DiaComp with Tektro levers.
Sakai Custom handlebars and stem.
The 21-in frame is technically a large. The SR Laprade seatpost is very cool, however it is also cut very short. Therefore, this bike is more for medium size riders unless you replace the seat post with a longer one. I'd say riders 5'7" (who don't mind a tall standover height) to 5'10" max on this post.
Gatorskin tires and Slime tubes provide puncture resistance.
Includes one bottle cage and has places to mount two more: one under the down tube and one on the handlebar.
Avenir rear rack.
Bike rides great! I work at a bike shop and have spent hours tuning and cleaning it.
I can deliver anywhere in the Tucson area for another $20

Noting the rusted recessed bolt for the front brake and the caked dirt on the tires, I'm guessing that the chain will be rock-solid rust and so seller posted it NDS to avoid that being noticed.
Maybe the seized chain thing is the reason for all of these NDS photos in the ads...?

Yes and No. On Offerup some people put $0, some put a price, and some put a price and require full price bid. I feel like amonst the people who put $0 it is about a 50/50 split between those who don't know what is worth that are looking for an "offer" and people who think it is worth a lot and are hoping for a huge offer. What people are expecting to get seems to vary greatly and not logically. But yes, fundamentally you just "Make an Offer".

Without the derailleurs and the crank, it's a killer deal!

What's the mark/dent on the top tube? I can't make it out in the picture. Is it just sticker residue or something bad?

Seems like an inefficient way to get phone numbers from a few people that may be interested in a bike. I'd think it more likely they want to find people willing to PayPal or use one of those other newfangled payment methods to "hold" the bike for them.
