Hi From Hawaii!
I work at a wood shop in Hawaii and always been fascinated with bikes. As a kid I raced BMX. I took bikes apart, painted them, re-assembled them. Later I loved road bikes and used to bike 20mi to work and back each day. I had a carbon felt bike and loved it. The shop I work at has a big CNC machine and I am planning to build a nice road bike from wood. Frame, forks, cranks, and wheels all from wood. I've been an engineer for years and think I can make a pretty nice bike. I will make a separate post to follow the design, build and assembly over the next year or so. If anybody needs wood parts for anything maybe I can help!

The first prototype I plan to make from marine plywood (expected to be the strongest type of plywood) then later versions from strong hardwoods like Ash, or Sapele.
