Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yea after I posted the boone, carbon doesn’t sound like a good idea. I can’t seem to stay on my bike when obstacles are not involved.

Are you also looking at road racing? That's all encompassing including road, crit, circuit, hill climbs and TT's.

Yea I want to do crits and circuits. The race team does a lot of cycle cross too, and that looks like a lot of fun.

Same then. Skills, bump drills, etc. Be happy riding in a tight group while you're breathing through your tonsils.

I did not ride today, as promised. Oh well. I spent a lazy morning with the dogs, before going off on a lunch date. Tomorrow I pick the wife up from the airport, after doing a little shopping. Today's drive to the lunch date was the first time the car has been touched since returning from the airport two weeks ago. Beginning Tuesday it will be used almost daily again. But not by me.

You should totally try a cross race. Someone might even loan you a bike for your first try.

Spoke with my sis. She had just gotten up from a nap. She sounded drowsy. Not sure if it was from the nap, the medication or after effects of seizure. I don't think it was from the nap and I didn't think the medication would cause drowsiness but I hope it isn't after effects unless it's normal. She also was kind of in denial blaming Asian food and a movie with flashing lights as a possible cause. It's sounds crazy but no one wants to admit they went non linear - it has to be something else.

Then I called my brother who is recovering from prostate surgery.

At no point did I tell them to HTFU.
