Raleigh twenty 3 speed weight

Hi folks. So I can get a Raleigh twenty at a good price. Built in England in the early 70s, white, 3 speed strumey archer hub. I've searched the webs but have not been able to locate a weight for this ride. Closest I've seen is 23 kilos, which seems awful heavy. I have back issues so if the bike is too heavy it's not worth the trip to see it. Does anyone here know the approximate weight of this bike? Thanks for any help. Also thoughts on the ride quality is appreciated.

I don’t know the exact weight but it is in the high twenties. I have one and no, I don’t care it around!

I love mine and the white colour is hard to find. You can certainly lighten it up by changing everything but what’s the point of getting it then?

50 bucks is a low price, very low. The bike rides well. It is heavy. It seems larger when folded, that is how atrocious it folds. All the threads are Whitworth so that complicates things and parts and stuff that is Whitworth are hard to find. eBay sellers have them, but usually not cheap. The brakes are very poor, and the rims are steel. They came with 406 rims in the US and 451 in England. It is usually geared too high in its stock form

What he said.

I got mine for 70 and it was in fairly good shape. Being it is a white one I would be over there paying now. That’s just me though!

My rims are sized 451, English standard. Hard to find wheels besides what are BMX offered.
