Some of me over the 21 years I've been in St Louis...
In the late 90's on my 82 Trek 710 on the river trail between Alton Illinois and Grfton Illinois.
I was a project manager at Monsanto. The most exciting it got was getting a new copier...
Spring forward 15 years...
Escorting the Clydesdales before a Cardinals game on the Downtown Bike Unit as the unit's bike mechanic.
Before going on the field.
Thanksgiving Day Parade.
and (not me in the picture) the parade after the Blues won the Stanley Cup.
Getting ready to retire but the last 9 years on a bike in downtown St Louis has been the most exciting time on a bike in my life.
Oh and I gained about 8 lbs in that time.

There are very few pictures of me with a bike, but I did show up on Google Maps StreetView on a lunchtime ride in 2016.
Striegel on Paris Sport model 700 bicycle as captured by Google StreetView camera 2016-07-19
My most recent acquisition is a 1984 Miyata that cost me just $50(!) from a local FaceBook Marketplace ad. It needed very little except cleaning.
1984 Miyata 210 touring bicycle with Arkel bag on rear rack, Brooks B17 leather saddle, and other accessorries.

Celeste and I on MS Teams
This is what people see when they meet with me on Teams. I ride to work every day that doesn't begin with rain. Getting wet on the way home is not an issue.

Thanks @DQRider. Been posted on BF several places; 1979 PKN10 started life pearl white but got painted by original owner's father who was a brush/palette artist. Colors have a somewhat regular pattern, overlap here and there, so could have used some kind of roller or applicator? Seller I bought from was 2nd owner. He crashed it, bent fork and rim, but this model has a hi-ten fork that deformed w/o any frame damage. @gugie straightened/aligned fork. Now a great ride with 32c gravel grinders. People always react strongly to the bike, about 2/3 who like or even see it as art vs The 1/3 who think it's Butt Ugly. Nobody is in the middle. I like it, especially that there is only 1 of them. Don

The Specialized Sequoia 650b Commuter
The Peugeot PFN-10 "Velo de Ville".
...and a Diamondback Apex mountain bike in matte purple that I haven't photographed yet because YUCK!
(Update) - Here is the Diamondback winter bike that I have named "GrApex", for it's purple hue.
GrApex is going to get some kind of Minnesota Vikings tribute art this winter. Some white and yellow stripes, maybe a football or goalpost, and I definitely need to put horns on it somewhere. Fenders and studded tires go on this coming weekend.

@DQRider, If you choose the Peugeot, artist dad changed the non drive side, downtube "Peugeot" logo from black to white by hand painting over the original decal letters. Also fitting the kaleidoscope pattern to preserve the original checkers, lions etc. camoflaged enough that one only notices them after gazing at the bike for a while, then they suddenly jump out at you. The more you look, the more detail you see. Just thought I'd add a little more challenge to help while away your Winter days. OTH, modifying a yuck purple bike will improve the cycling Zeitgeist for sure. Don

Am I the only one?
When I read postings - especially ones by the regular contributors - I always get an image in my mind what they look like. Sorta like when I read a book: I mentally picture the characters, you know?
Characters...now that describes quite a lot of us here on the Forums!
Anyhow, let's see you guys and gals post some pics of you with your bike(s)! Working on them, riding on them - or just standing there looking proud/happy/confused/goofy/whatever!
A little story behind the pics is always welcomed.
Marymoor Park Velodrome in Redmond, Washington - 2007 (2002 Davidson Custom)
Green River Trail, Washington - 2008 (1983 Colnago Mexico)
Thanks!

I finally found a good photo of me on my bike. This was a couple years ago on my way to baseball practice (ok it was roughly 1978). I have no idea what the bike is, but this photo showed up in the Baltimore Sun at that time... definitely a C&V !! I hated living on a gravel road with any skinny (ish) tire!
