My Fuji Tiara, BIG additon...

Made a big addition to my Tiara this morning that has been sitting around undone now for a while. Just for some historical:

As initially completed:

With the addition of white hoods, (stock) white stem, rubber headset covers painted, and a few other tidbits:

And, with the somewhat elusive WHITE Shimano RX100 crankset:

Whatcha think? Took a little polishing compound on the crank and I touched up just a couple dings but otherwise it was really, really, nice. From an eBay seller in Italy. I hope one day to come across the white RX100 brake calipers as well. The last two things I'm looking for: white bottle cages, but want powdercoated, not painted, and a white Zefal frame pump. Ah, the search continues. A couple more shots.

The Club took a back seat to the Touring Series III, I really needed to get something with fenders going, it showed up, there ya go. I was going to list my red Club and Canmnondale on CL this coming week but I have to travel for business last moment. Once those are sold, your/my Club comes home.

It's just too expensive to put together. The brake calipers are the last thing. All my research tells me they did just the crankset and calipers in white. The rest of the group was the same.

Nah, the RX100 works SO nice I wouldn't change it out. Besides, it did have Shimano out of the gate, I just upped it a cog

With all that white I'd feel guilty riding it with anything other than surgeon-scrubbed hands.

The key to white hoods and tape is to not let it get bad. Every 2-3 rides I scrub the hoods and tape with Dawn, water and a barely stiff scrub brush. Takes 5 minutes and everything stays very clean. Don't know about the crank yet

Looks good Keith...but...I think the silver stem is better balanced aesthetically until the calipers are added...

Looks great, Gene!

I don't know where I got 'Gene' from, Keith. Looks great regardless. My 2c. - I would go with electric blue bar tape (picking up the Fuji logo), and setting off the white hoods and stem. It's a little too much all in one place, IMO. But this is hair-splitting. It's an awesome looking build, duder.

So do I. The shifting of this setup is just great...it just SNAPS into gear, both up and down.

That wouldn't be the worst thing I've ever been called Yeah, I know what you mean but then a white saddle just hang there in space, etc. I dunno. I've always been a sucker for white on a bike.

How long does it take Paselas to wear out? I'm considering white for the next set of tires, or if I get something to move the 700x23 Paselas to.

Keith, you give me hope that C&Ver's get real mileage too. That's a very practical, yet beautiful setup. Btw, why is your front skewer facing the wrong side?
