Remove cheapy BB, Mariner i7
What the heck is this and how do I get it out of the frame?? This is the driveside and those notches didn't match any tool I had so I bought a Park Tool HCW-11. It's not working, that baby is stuck in there good, I need a better idea!

Got anything resembling a variable spanner? If you could get the pegs of the spanner in opposing BB notches, might work.
Something like this:

Nope. I already dug around for one.
It's soaking in penetrating oil right now while I figure out a way to lock the Park wrench on there so it won't slip. Working on bikes is fun!

I have not removed a BB with that pattern, and I allergic to old cheap Dahons, but you may get to rotated by striking it on the flats with a pin punch.

I don't know what a pin punch is.

Park Pin spanner

"The common threading for bottom bracket shells is called “English.” The left-side cup is a right-hand thread direction, which tightens clockwise and removes counterclockwise. The right-side (drive-side) thread is a left-hand thread, which tightens counterclockwise and loosens clockwise."

Updates:
I've emailed Dahon but don't expect much, they're going to be like "Nobody replaces the bottom bracket on an IGH Dahon, they break it someday and buy a new bike, leave us alone."
I can't find a tool anywhere online that matches that pattern..weird!
I have that pin tool, no go with this BB.
New plan: I have a different crank (currently on my Rivendell Custom) that fits square taper. It also has a smaller chainring (34t) than the 38 I was going to use, this would lower the gearing nicely. The bottom bracket I can't remove is basically new so I stuffed some more grease in there and buttoned it back up. Time to start swapping cranks!

Meantime, spray or hit it with WD-40 or equiv and let it soak a day or so. Find something like a pin punch and try to get it to rotate with a hammer tapping it. Go both directions. Spray again and wait a day. Not too much, a couple of times. Wait a day or two. Time can be your friend. Solvent can work. I have had things I gave up on for a month, then start to move. Your breaking bonds.

Lookin' good!!! I actually had a riser bar on it, but it was so beat up I had to reinstall the flat bar. The riser bar is way more comfortable.
