Mercier Reynolds 531 (unsure about year)
Hello everybody,
I'm still running my crusade to find a great Mercier to restore and here I am with another find which I would like to ask your help with.
It's currently in France and the base price is set at 200€. Is this a good deal/ good bike?
Seems to be the pale rose other than the normal rose tone, is that rarer? Plus for the chrome socks which I quite like
I don't have much other info on this one other than what can be seen in the images. So any help is super welcome.
Thank you!

If the frame is your size, the price is fair.
The photographs do not show sufficient detail to assess the overall condition. The frame appears to be nice.
Great color!
You will need a budget for replacement parts, just in case.

I would agree based on parts it is a 75/76 several of the parts were only on bikes from these years. Also I'm pretty sure this color pink with chrome drops fork ends was offered for just a couple years in the mid 70's.

How much will it cost to get it to London?

Hello everyone, might need some other help.
I got the Mercier above and noticed that the front Mercier decal must have been replaced. From what I can gather there's where the serial number was. Is there any other place where the serial number can be found? Also, does anyone have an example picture so I can remake the emblem with some numbers on it (even if it's random numbers)?
Thank you

I have a Mercier 300, original owner, sort of. My sister bought it new in 1971, I bought it from her a few years later. To my knowledge, there is no other serial number stamped anywhere on the frame. It's only on that head tube tag. Here's a photo just before I finished it up. As you can see, there are some adjustments still to be made to it.

So I imagine it will be a hard one for me to get as mines are totally blank.
I might try to get some random numbers printed on the head tag anyway.
Is there anyway you have an example of how the numbers look like? Just so I can try to get as close as possible the style of the text on the tag. To be clear I won’t be copying the exact serial number just the look of the numbers
Thank you!

Here's a snapshot of the head tube badge on my Mercier. There isn't much I can tell you about the serial number. The bike was purchased in August or September of 1971. When I overhauled it, the date code on the rear derailleur pulley cage was stamped 2/71.
It's hard to read, but the serial number is 302879

Thanks a lot for your help satbuilder . This allows me to have a nice base to design the numbers for mine even tho they will be ,sadly, random.
Your help is much appreciated
