I generally describe a Campy equipped TDF as a Super TDF. I have a few of those.

ctt is center to top. Center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. That’s how they measured back in the day.

I am happy to drive to pick up the Miyata. Lovely bike that I would do a full restoration on. Done with my Allegro but I do need a dedicated rando bike for multi day adventures. This would be perfect.

One is a ctc 55cm Daccordi Griffo with most of the braze-ons filed off and a missing bottle cage boss. It's a bit of a project, but if you think you can handle, you can take it. Fork is included. The second frame is a what I believe to be a 1983 Miyata 1000, size 56cm ctc. The frame is cosmetically challenged, but the are no structural compromises like dents or severe rust. The one real caveat is that bottom bracket is that proprietary Suntour unit that requires a special tool to remove; the PO couldn't remove it and neither can I. Otherwise, it's a decent project.
At this point I would like to give it to someone who is local within the Bay Area, but if you are not located here I am sure we can work something out with the facilitators. If you would like more information or photos on the frames let me know and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities in a timely manner.
Thanks for your time,
Philpeugeot

Update: both frames have been claimed.

Ahhhh... Gitane models with familiar names!! I picked up a low-end Gitane for $10 at a flea market a couple yrs ago. The French thread stuff scares me, so it sits patiently in the shed, haunting me.

Really like this PX10 Super De Luxe, but the frame does not fit (its ~ 56 cm c-c). Wondering if anyone has anything comparable in a 60-62cm or so. Thanks in advance!

Hi Force, I have the 60cm gitane TDF shown here

. I also have a 60cm Jeunet Franche Compte 630. They are both “comparable “ to your Pug as they are full 531 Reynolds like yours and they bleed tricolor if you cut them.

Thank you for the offer. The Gitane is neat, but I already have a TDF in the same color!

Another TDF

***No Longer Available, Traded for a PX10***

I’ve had this 25” 63cm Gitane for a while now, I’d be happy to trade for a smaller French or Touring frame fork combo. This is an older picture the head set, hanger and rear cable stop have been removed. Happy to send more pictures, talk bicycles and I’ve shipped a few dozen frames over the years. I live in San Diego.

Fortunately I don’t have any medium French frames kicking around to trade for this… I only have a 50cm SC… and I already have a 62cm TdF in white…

I see my post from over a month a ago is buried so …..

Hello everyone,

73 gitane Tour de France
- this one is a 60cm ctt . Beautiful paint and chrome and decals mostly intact. Need frame one or two sizes smaller (53cm - 57cm). Looking for trade for another TDF (or Super Corsa) frameset of similar vintage and condition. If you don’t need trade willing to buy.

Big, 63.5cm C-C seat tube, Serotta Club Special, originally owned by John Kerry. One spot of corrosion on the underside of the DT. Paint still shines quite nicely, a few chips. Decals are tired, but reproductions are now available from Velocals.
Too large for me, size range for me is 59-61cm. Perhaps someone taller than me is the reverse predicament.

Too big for me. I hope that is not the one he was riding when he broke his leg.

Hmmm... How long is the top tube? I have a late 70s 60cm Serotta Club Special. I like it just fine, but it's at the very bottom end of my size range. Perhaps we should talk...

Colnago Master Piu frame trade

I have a frame that is way small for me that I would like to trade for a frame suitable for myself....6ft5. Not interested in selling the bike or any of the components...just want to trade the frame so that I could bolt the group set to my new frame. Looking for something cool, like this frame, and of high end, Italian decent.

This frame is in excellent condition. Excellent paint, stickers, and condition. Any takers?

I have a beautiful Pinarello Montello in chromonero that would fit you and that build, perfectly. I don’t need another bike or frame, but I’m open to offers.

In reply to Orcas Island and slowride79. I have both a Super Corsa 58cm and a Super TDF(Campy derailleurs)55cm in the foil label era. Both measured as in the photo.

I have a taller TDF (60cm?)in white and 2 other newer Gitanes as well. An Inter and another Super Corsa.
