Monthly SF Peninsula Classic Rendevous (CR)Ride
Good group of riders, perfect weather, departed from downtown Woodside CA, road out to Crystal Spings Dam, and returned via Polhemus to Canada. Basic ride 22/1500ft. Here are some people/bike images. Most everyone joined for lunch after the ride, shared some wine and whopper stories.

September Ride AnnouncementPescadero Vintage Bike Ride
Sunday, 9/18, 9:30am - Vintage Ride
(Meet at 9:30, Roll at 10 am)
Since September is one of the very best months for enjoying our lovely California Coastline, our September vintage ride will start & end in Pescadero with lunch afterwards. By popular request, we're happily including both a Shorter Route (16.7 mile) and Longer Route (22.8 mile). :-)
START ADDRESS: 1956 Pescadero Creek Rd., Pescadero, CA 94060
Parking lot is at the southwest corner of Pescadero Creek & Stage Roads.
As always, carpooling is definitely recommended
RIDE ROUTE;
Start - Parking lot at Pescadero Creek & Stage Rd.
Right (East) - Pescadero Creek Rd.
Right - Cloverdale Rd. (.6 miles)
SHORT ROUTE: Right (West) - Gazos Creek Rd. (6.1 miles)
LONG ROUTE: Left (East) - Gazos Creek Rd. (6.1 miles)
(This is a spectacular 6.6 mile out-and-back along a quiet road through the redwoods)
STOP / REGROUP - Green Gate at the end of Gazos Creek Rd. (9.4 miles)
Turn Around - Head (West) back down Gazos Creek Rd.
BOTH SHORT & LONG ROUTES:
Left (South) - Hwy 1 to "Hwy 1 Brewing Co." (short: 8.3 miles, long: 14.6 miles)
REGROUP - Hwy 1 Brewing Co.
(Note that the Hwy 1 Brewing Co. is on the East side of Hwy 1,
and is only 1,000' south of the intersection of Gazos Creek Rd. & Hwy 1)
Right (North) - Hwy 1
Right - Bean Hollow Rd. (short: 13.4 miles, long: 19.7 miles)
Right - Pescadero Rd. (short: 16.7 miles, long: 22.8 miles)
Continue on Pescadero to Start
Short Route: 16.7 miles, with 600’ elevation gain. Long Route: 22.8 miles, with 900’ elevation gain.
We'll enjoy lunch afterwards at the picnic tables (near Duarte’s Tavern) back in Pescadero. There is an excellent Tacqueria & a Grocery Store to buy lunch right across the street, or bring a lunch.
Be there or be square, Greg Davis

The first October CR ride this month featured nice cool weather, great riders and interesting bikes. One mishap, one of the riders went wide on a descending corner, rode off the pavement and crashed pretty hard but was luckily not too hurt to continue. So, stay focused out there! Here are some images of what for me was 30 miles and 1800 ft.
Pre ride snack
Masi just back from Italy's Eroica
Two early 70's Cinelli SC
Scapin, not too harmed from the very scary off
Bottechia and Carlton
Another shot of the Carlton
72 Cinelli SC
The vintage hooligans just finishing lunch and getting ready to head for home

This month meet Sunday 11/20/22 at Woodside school around 9:30 for a 10am roll.
Lunch at the school afterwards. No RSVP for this ride. Just be there or be square. Rain cancels.

Well, no rain today, just a cool start and a simple yet classic loop (The Loop) around Portola Valley/Woodside. We had 6 riders, sorry for not having image for all the bikes. Lunch after the ride at the courtyard at the school where be typically meet up. Cinelli SC, Hetchins, Rossin, Richard Sachs, Davidson were in attendance. Super fun, nice bikes, a good time.
