There are a few rusty tools in the MAFAC kit, not a full set. 3 wrench/tire levers and the large double end. All with a healthy patina of rust that’ll brass brush off. I have a few other surviving bits but probably still short of a full kit. The RD isn’t labeled, it’s a Suntour somethingorother. Looks like a Sprint?

This is definitely my favorite thread. I love seeing something I dropped into the BOC go to somebody that can use it. One man’s trash, etc…,

...and just like that the box is here, weighing in at a portly 26 lb 10 oz! The first thing I saw was a bright Canadian glow 🌟

I received the BOC on Wednesday, but have been busy with some family stuff. I will be out of town for a few days and will send the box out to @CV-6 when I return.
The unveiling.

Looks like it is time once again for me to ask for players to sign up to get the exalted Box O' Crap to land at their doorstep. The box is chock full of interesting items that we all can find a use for. Smiles, Crapmaster Honk

There was a lot of interesting stuff, but I'm trying to cut back so I left some things in the box that I might have taken in the past. The box is on it's way to CV-6.
My treasures.

I can't show any pics of any parts or stickers installed on any bikes yet, but I can share an image that has been installed in my brain thanks to the Box o' Crap.
I was reading my copy of News and Views when I came across some ramblings by Graham Hull, wherein he starts talking about lightweight trikes. Huh, lightweight trikes?
Go ahead and google Longstaff trike or Higgins ultralight and tell me you don't need to ride one of these!! Maybe everyone here already owns one, but I've never seen such a thing. Dig the double front brakes:

Box of Crap on its way to the next recipient. I did not remove anything for my own use. I did remove some items that I felt were truly crap. I have placed several items in the box that someone will be very pleased to find.

It can be a beautiful thing. When I participated in the past, I was in need of a 9cm GB stem. The universe delivered via the BOC. And it was even more rewarding to see somebody downstream from me take out most of my crap and use it for a specific build. Again, the universe delivered. I just stuffed a box as an unwitting cog in the grand wheel of time.

All Crap-A-Teers,
Today seems to be rules day for me. As of late my phone lines have been busy with calls that indicate our players have been less than diligent in playing within the rules as noted in the first post. This game is designed to be self policing just like the work I do as a Professional Golfer. It should be on all of us to know the rules and play by them.
I took great detail in filling the box with use-able parts and parts that still have value in the C&V market. The first players seemed to do likewise and added very use-able items. However in the short twelve weeks we have been playing, the box has morphed into a box of junk that is unusable. It was and still is my desire to see good parts move to other C&V who will use them. I can only remind players to put in things that still work, and should work for our fellow players. I have communicated with a few players who will add some better quality parts from my stash here to keep the Quality Quotient up. However the game is to pass good things along to those coming behind us (and not to empty my stash of high dollar parts around the country; heck I could do that on my own). So I will take off my parenting hat and ask all of the players to please pass along useful parts and not junk. If needed please re-read the rules on page one and abide accordingly.
