BUT, at the time of his plane crash - although he was not eligible/compliant for his PPL due to previous DUI, flying an experimental/LSA was legal - AND his post-crash blood-tox screen showed that he was NOT high/on drugs at the time of the crash. The Rutan Long EZ was a home-built, and as such had certain variations as to build parameters. One was the placement of the fuel selector valve. He had to reach over his shoulder to switch fuel tanks. YOU try that and not move the other hand (that is/was on the control stick) !! At that altitude and speed, it was less than a second or two...

Oh, and my 'high' after a vigorous hour-long ride is not the typical short-term "runner's high" because it lasts for two-three days after! I call it my 'cleansing high' -- the feeling from burning the toxins from my body!!! I first noticed it when I was in college 45+years ago. After a night of 'partying', I'd get up at daybreak and go for a 40+-mile ride. I certainly felt better than my roomies that were just stirring after the completion of my ride!!!

No...I often do very early morning rides and then take my shower many hours later in the evening. There is no rule which says that you have to run into shower as soon as you step off your bike after finishing your ride.

Judging by some of the threads and topics that some people start. I bet there are some big time stoners here on bikeforums.

You may get away with that in cool comfortable Canada, but if I tried that in hot humid Oklahoma my coworkers would dislike me more than they do and my wife wouldn't want to love me.

LOL, this forum is pretty mild compared to other places I frequent. That said we to tend to focus on or bodies where the sun don’t shine here which makes discussions colorful.

What's this "we" stuff? If you are speaking as "we", you're wrong on all accounts.

Sometimes you're just too tired to care. After a long ride last week came in, stripped the kit, pulled some loose shorts and a tee shirt out of the laundry, and sat in those for a while, then ate, and only found the energy to shower at bedtime.

But today, hotter, having picked up more grime - and especially the house being hotter, there just wasn't much option but fairly directly into the shower.

Guys,

I rode 101 miles on Saturday and skipped the shower and went right to the hot tub and drank 2 beers.

I felt so much better.
