Marzocchi is (apparently?) making some of their old pre-Fox forks again. They are for sale at CRC. 26er, Quick release, V brake, 1-1/8 steerer, unknown innards (hopefully coil spring and open bath), not too spendy

Are these new production or NOS? With somewhat of another bike boom going on where people are rediscovering how great these old MTB frames are, it's interesting to see companies churn out new products to accommodate these older bikes. I guess 26 isn't dead?

Anyway, these forks look rad and servicing/sourcing 90's MTB suspension components is becoming more difficult as time goes on haha

That is so tempting. If it had the removable steerer I would be all over it.

It definitely looks just like a 1998 Z4, or there-abouts, based on the style of arch without the canti cable hanger, crown stanchion clamps, and no disc brake option.

I cannot imagine it being new production as the cost to manufacture those crowns, instead of pressfit, doesn't make sense especially at that, or even the original non-discounted. It could definitely be assembled from NOS parts that were held for potential warranty/recall purposes. Now that Fox owns them and the parts are 20+ years old, with a hot market, they will be gone quick.

When I first looked at it both were available. By the time I decided only the green was left in 80mm, rats!

Total with shipping and no tax was $251.99.

Saw a pop-up that 250 people were looking at it.

I have a 1998 Z3 that is in use with a 1" steerer on my main mtb. If this is made from 1998 parts, I'll use whatever I need or just swap the crown.

Worst possible case is that it will easily sell for what I paid to someone who wants a 1-1/8" rim brake fork.

Edit: It is the 70mm blue one that has the clamp stanchions, which will work with my '98 Z3. I guess I'm getting 2 of them. I can still use the green also. Our son has an 80mm 1-1/8".

I's all good. Old rim brake suspension forks have been the one thing that I have been concerned about with old mtbs in our family.

I ordered one, interesting to see if the order actually goes through. Every time I've tried to order from them it sets off the fraud alert on my card.
