At least you got some points. I need to be smarter. After I realized I would not catch the lead group, it became a recovery ride for me. At least as much recovery as is possible on a course like that.

True, points are good ha. I just kept riding like I was going to catch the main group again, even know it was never going to happen. I even sprinted past a guy on the last lap on the hill as if I was in first . Figured for that drive, I am going to push it till I break, so did that and came out of it somewhat pleased.

I was also talking with the guy that one Josh Flexman, before and after the ride, it appears he won a lot of the area events so far this season.

If I wanted to do a recovery ride, I would have just stayed home.

Yeah that looks great.

Ah cool, must be fun to race on a track, I have a friend who lives in Austin who races his car and he's driven that one before.

here ya go, from this past weekend... I like the drop of sweat on the tip of my nose. I was suffering from "go" in that race but hung in and managed a 6th despite my complete inability to sprint.

clearly needing some sun, and clearly 'too fat for this sport', but on the point end of the stick.

Pretty common among my team. Especially when wearing skin suits for TT and crits.

+1. I put my van keys in my leg of my skinsuit for the TT on Saturday.

I see/do it a lot in XC races as well. Reaching back into a jersey pocket while red-lined on a mountain bike course can lead to hilariously painful results.

no. it's very pro.

the triathlete move is to stick things to your top tube or stem then eat them after you've sweated, slobbered, snotted, and probably urinated on them.

Vernon Hills Masters 4/5 - I'm on the front as planned for the last 3 laps to help lead out our man (behind me in the white glasses)

Put him on the podium....

....in other news....little meatball is tearing shiz up. He's got more hardware than a Lowe's store at this point....

I've resigned myself to knowing at some point I get to say, "I knew him when."
