Thanks. T-town is my home track, but I will probably race the Giordonna 250m track three times before I do the Masters Nationals there. I will also ride/race Pittsburgh 200m when it opens, so I will be hitting some tighter tracks. The Pinarello Xtrack Sprint has 74.5 degree angles, but the cost is 2.5x of the Look. Am I correct in guessing that might be a better choice for the smaller tracks?

Larger tracks don't necessarily require the short wheelbases that a steeper track bike affords. You can make almost any bike work on any track, but how well will it work? That's up to you to determine. Your handling preferences will weigh heavily on the geometry that best suits you. 60mm of trail gives you a pretty neutral handling bike. Longer is sluggish, shorter is twitchy. You can achieve any number with either a steeper headtube/less offset, or slacker headtube/more offset (just depends on the how the combinations add up). Although they will behave similarly when travelling in a relatively straight line, there will be some sluggishness when changing direction with the slacker set up because the wheelhub/point of contact is further away from the steering axis, (and) causing the wheelbase to lengthen when you turn the wheel (on an already longer set up). Not a big deal for larger, shallower, wider tracks or TT events. Sprints, keirin, chariot races, and mass start events will benefit from the steeper set up.

It's all relative to perception as well. Some can tell, or need (benefit from) a certain set up, to others, it's a non factor. Best to ride what fits and makes it fun.

It doesn't look like any of them. More like a track end but it is closed at the back. Slot is ~2" long, angled from horizontal like a road drop but not nearly as much. The slot is in line with the chainstay, like a track drop. At the front end, the slot is open at the bottom. So if you were to slide the hub along the dropout from the back to the front, then out and tracked the center of the axle, the path would be an "L" on its side.

We went 11 degrees on the angle of the dropout; a compromise. Level like a track end means the BB height and pedal clearance stays the same with small cogs for descents, road drop angles mean that moving the wheel doesn't change where the brake track and pads. The slight angle means that the entire range stays on the sidewall of a semi-deep Velocity Aero rim.

Geo seems to be pretty close to the old TC. TC1 has +1deg Head Angle and Seat Angle slightly steeper (+0.5-0.7deg). Cut away and oversized downtube as the TC.

By the way, I have ordered directly from Dolan in the UK shipping to the USA and it arrived within a week. I have a friend that had a similar experience. I'd order from them again.

Regarding geometry: The frame sizes are based on seat tube length, not top tube length.

It's even cheaper since £349.99 includes the tax which they remove once you select a country outside of the UK! It results in £291.66 + shipping. E.g., to LA it is £75 gives a total of roughly $560 + US taxes.

The Hoy bikes were on sale when I got mine. Still pretty happy with mine. As mentioned in thread only issues so far were dubious seatpost head and the rear sprocket wasn't the ss-7600 as promised. But at the price I just replaced them both. Will also need to swap the tyres when I take it indoors.

I just got a 2015 Fuji Track elite Frameset. I've been riding a week and so far the seat tube hasn't slipped nor has the saddle angled on me. I am 6'2" 225 lbs. It's a great bike if you are taller as there aren't as many options.

I've had mine for a month or so now, Technically its a pre-production 2015 frame, or at least thats what I was told.

Seat post slip struggle is real, but I may still attribute it to being a baby for fear of cracked carbon since it hasn't slipped since the last time I put it to the limit of what i was comfortable with.

Jury is out for me. 6ft 2, probably 210 now.

I don't own one of these, but am a friend of Bobby. He is fully rolling on production now so bikes can be had quickly. Up until early this season he was still sorting out that side of things and there were some delays.

As far as the bikes themselves, it seems like everyone loves them and I'm not aware of there being any issues (like weird seat post slippage, etc). They are basically the track bike of reference at Hellyer these days, and catching on elsewhere too.
