Suggestions for a 1 1/4 stem?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Suggestions for a 1 1/4 stem?

Hi Guys,

I need a stem for my Canyon which has a 1 1/4 inch steerer. Canyon wants 110 Euros to ship the 50 Euro stem to my country. Any other suggestions? Aliexperess? I have a couple of the cheap Uno Kalloy stems which have been solid. Dont mind those either if I can get them in 1 1/4 inch steerer size.

I buy Giant OD2 stems off eBay. Don't know how much they cost for you, but they're about $35-$40 from US/Taiwan sellers to me in the US.

We also bought a Giant stem off eBay for my wife's bike.

Thomson also makes 1 1/4 stems.

deepakvrao Aren't you using Zipp handlebars? A Zipp stem would be a perfect match.

Had picked up the Zipp when on a trip to Europe. Zipp is not shippable to India. Lots of new restrictions nowadays. These are manufacturer restrictions. Not that Zipp is available locally, so no idea why they prohibit shipping to India. I can understand Shimano. The pricing is a bit over double the EU pricing, but it's available, and I guess they want to protect their dealers. Zipp does not even have dealers here.

Located a few on Bike24, which are shippable to India. FSA and a company called Syncros. I think I'll just get one of them.

The Syncros website say it's for 1 1/8. The FSA site does confirm 1 1/4

Just pick up Giant SLR 1-1/4" carbon stems. Used ones can be had for around $100, are high quality, lightweight.

Nevermind.

I was looking at the 1.5 RR stem on Syncros's website, not the Aero Foil stem.

Bike24's site seems to combine the name of the two stems. the 1.5 RR is 1 1/8. The Aero Foil is 1 1/4.

So, I'd be OK with the Syncros I linked to?

Ditto that. On my 2 bikes that require 1 1/4” stems, I really like the Giant oversized stems for the price.
