This seems to be growing almost without bound. gugie, perhaps you will want to edit the original post to build up the glossary. Otherwise, new people will have a hard time finding the definition for a particular term.

Derailer = a derailleur that isn't made by a French company.

Tires or rims: Wired-on = clincher.

Not sure if either of these caught on, but both terms on the left were a thing in some circles back in the day.
I still hear and see both.

When I still dabbled in old sports cars the term was DPO, for "dreaded previous owner," I believe, though your definition sounds more spot on.

One of the historians here loathes that term, "clincher," preferring "wired-on," I believe.

You must use only Proofide on your Brooks. Only a light coating, once a year (there are different opinions about the recommended moon phase). Don't ever let your Brooks even be near (like in the same room) any other leather care products like neat's foot oil, saddle soap, dubbin, etc., for it will be ruined instantly and forever. And remember, never touch the adjustment bolt! Even better if you don't look at it.

The close cousin to that description is that the frame (or any metallic item, especially if deemed 'collectible' and asking a high price) has "slight patina." Sorry, flaked red rust with pitting is NOT patina.

Sort of like the "HHO Special" in real estate (Harry Homeowner Special = non-professionally made repairs that look it.)
