Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Competitive Cyclist. On sale for $29, but $30 postage to Oz, but with our dollar almost at parity, $60 for a jersey is pretty good.

2007 Madone SSL 6.5 frame and an Ultegra 2009 compact crank. Moved the rest of my dura ace kit off my 2006 Felt F2C. Finally my primary ride fits me.

Show us a pic once you get it mounted, too. I haven't tried one yet, but from looking at it, I can't figure out how it's supposed to strap on and aim straight back instead of into the trees.

New set of CXP33 rims to replace some which have way too much sidewall wear.

Look out for 2 related threads soon: "Help I can't relace & true my wheels" (I'm having a first try at wheel building) and "can you believe I was riding on these" shortly after I take a hacksaw to the worst of the old rims to look at the cross section.

Hi

Will get a Bottecchia tomorrow, and have put through an order for the following from Chain Reaction Cycles...

Trying bibs for the first time:

Getting a primal shirt in colour co-ordination:

And I am recovering from a back injury caused by a cleat disengaging as I was climbing a hill at full power - hence, not trusting the Bottecchia brand pedals and have gone for something traditional:

On top of that, bought a new helmet for only AU$60 - Limar 909:

That'll sate my bike spending frenzy for a little while!
