Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Found it was time to replace the bb and bearings in my Emonda. I got some ridiculously long life out of them, but as I recently replaced my Domane BB with a BBInfinite T47, and really liked it, so decided to order a PF86 single piece version for my Emonda.

New bottom bracket for my Crux. Cane Creek Hellbender 70. And the wrench to install it.

And some gloves, because it's cold outside.

Sweet. Have you had any crosswind issues with those bad boys?

Nope, when I did the 80 the other day, the wind was 15-20, it was brutal, but outside of the occasional semi getting a little too close, I did not get any crosswind issues. They were really nice.

blew through another battery in my Bontrager Duotrap sensor.... I so want to love this thing, but when the battery gets a little low, the cadence is the only thing that that will not work..... I am so over this thing. Replaced the battery and just ordered the Wahoo Speed and Cadence sensors to pair with my Wahoo Roam.

One of the cheaper purchases I have made for bike accessories, market baskets. They are actually kitchen storage baskets I found on Sierra Trading Post, $15 for the pair. They are just the right size for my needs. I have them zip tied to the the racks, which are smallish and pretty light.

Working very well. Mount as low on the bike as can be, distribute the weight fairly evenly, it rides and handles nicely.

I almost bought one of those, but was not sure how long it would take to get here, and the BBInfinite I got in 2 days. Interesting to know how you like it.

it took 30 days to get from great Britain to Toronto Canada. I’m sure the pandemic had a lot to do with it. I don’t actually need it right now but I thought it would be prudent to have a spare bottom bracket. Most likely will install it next spring.

Great choice. I have the Park Tool and while it works it's just not machined well enough for it to slide smoothly. I think the Abbey tool is a better design and I think Park Tool thinks so also as they now make a similar model. Have fun with your new tools, I am envious.

One of these!

I know... What in the world is that thing! Building a gravel bike out of one of the Lynskey hardtail mountain bikes... so I will need this gem to mount Ekar brakes.

The whole thing. 14 month wait on the frameset from Colnago. NOS Super Record 11.
Rides really tight. Just got back from the first ride a few minutes ago.
