The boy wanted to pick up a few Lego odds and ends for his army, so we made a little trip to a specialty Lego shop in town. They recently moved and put together a new mega display - a model of the USS Missouri that's about 25 feet long. Even if Legos aren't your thing, it's hard not to admire the dedication.

I think they show better when furnished as if imaginary people live there. You know, the ones who always do the laundry and don't leave mail stacked on the dining table, who always use coasters and don't have any pets, and their children are all grown up and moved out.
Of course, we are imaginary people who don't have kids living with us, and don't stack things on the dining room table.

It's amazing how stuff accumulates over time without you noticing it. When I look at pics from when we moved back to MN (already 8 years ago 
), the big thing that sticks out is how much less clutter there is; it makes me want to throw out a bunch of stuff.

Do it. When we downsized we had to get rid of a third of our stuff before we moved. Then we got to the new house and had to get rid of a third of what we had left. We still have plenty of stuff.

Yup, that's what they were recreating - my boy told me all about it. It's weird that he knows so much on the subject, he has a thick tome on WWII vehicles that he's read front-to-back multiple times, but then the little girl points and exclaims "a Sherman tank!" as we're looking through the cases.

Is it normal for there to be a different “harmonix” or sound when the chain is on different cogs?
Recently replaced my chain with a SRAM chain. Old chain was worn and the bike shop only had SRAM in a price I wanted to pay. Didn’t have any issues the first couple of rides but today everything felt off. Shifting was off, it didn’t want to down shift on certain cogs. And when I would upshift it the chain would slam down onto the cog.
The other thing was a weird noise on certain cogs while I was pedaling. When I was on the bike it sounded like my pulleys were louder than usual but it also sounded like it would be coming from the cranks. Checked nothing was lose.
Just got done servicing the bike. Re lubed the chain and adjusted the indexing. I got it to down shift fine now, chain still slams on some cogs when Up shifting.
But it also sounds different when on certain cogs almost like a brake disc is rubbing but the noise is coming from the chain.
If this doesn’t make any sense. I apologize.
