Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You would think it would be the same here. But, there was that time I left the grill on for almost two weeks, and the time recently when I went out to grill and found one of the knobs had been left turned on for I don’t know how long.

I hate when that happens.

I currently have no grill or table/chairs for my nice new deck. I did spend $3,000 on carpeting today.

2019 or later. The new car premium has really shrunk.

I approve. “No good” is sort of an endearment. He’s a weirdo, but he’s a good man, he doesn’t spend money, and he loves her.

Thats a good feeling to have. Same with my future SIL - he really loves my daughter and treats her really well. Can’t ask for much more.

Except maybe a Chinese dowry.

In a lot of cases, buying new makes more sense today since used car prices are so high.

There were steep climbs today, the kind that make it hard to catch up to pedestrians. I'm spinning a 28 front with a 46 rear. I passed a runner on a descent and he caught and passed me on the following climb. As in ran away from me.

I have a nat gas grill. Good thing is no juggling tanks. Bad thing is no tanks to run out when you leave the thing on by mistake.

No. Also picked up four shirts and three ties which pushed the total into crabon Ultegra territory. Cost of doing business for me. Too bad it doesn't qualify as "uniforms."

In other news, and to add some cycling content, there is no low mount in the Trek Blendr system that fits the 1030. So, I found a place that 3d prints them. My order arrived yesterday, and I installed it today. Much more solid than the Trek mounts, but the computer doesn't seem to lock in as tightly. Will be using the amateur tether until I gain some confidence in it.
