That they wouldn't provide you with an answer is both shocking since it's such a simple and reasonable request and not shocking since they sell such a low margin product.

Has anyone tried photographing the hanger and sending it to derailleurhanger.com? Maybe it's something they can source.

Is converting to thru axle and having a spare one of these handy a viable option or am I missing something?

Dependent on the wheel set, that may also have to be upgraded - which is a substantial cost in comparison to a replacement qr hanger.
such a frustrating situation as every other component on a bike can be upgraded with other brands... but a hanger is unique and such low cost, yet impossible to source!

Yes - have sent to a couple of mech sites but all have said they can’t help. I believe they use to do it bespoke but no longer - guess the manufacturer cost out-ways the return. Such a shame

A bit irresponsible not to stock spare hangers if you are going to sell bikes.
Many recent hubs can have their endcaps swapped for TA. Of course, that's going to run the costs up too.

Yeah, this is absolutely inexcusable. I can kinda understand the company claiming they are out of stock because of the pandemic. Thats a well used excuse that cant be refuted right now regardless of it its a real claim.
To not even offer or have a source for one though? That is total trash. What do they expect you to do with a relatively new bike when the hanger snaps?
Them not being any help would drive me to bug the hell out of them on Twitter/IG for sure. Others need to know they wont have access to a critical component that is designed to easily break.

Your best option may be to take current hanger to a local machine shop and ask them to make you two. We have a local machine shop that will do somehing like this for our bike shop when we have a good customer with a hard to solve problem. They reamed out a stuck seatpost once which was an hour of labor and they did it for $40. because of our shop relationship. You may be able to get a deal from a small local machine shop as long as you are not in too much of a hury.
You will want the softest alloy they have.

Old thread I know, but I saw Poseidon is listing the derailleur hanger on their site for purchase now and thought of this thread.
