Show me your BLACK bike!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

True. Orange bikes are always slightly faster than black ones still ... but who wants to be riding around on an orange bike, right?
I installed my new bar extensions on my black bike a few days ago and will take pictures to post here.
Hurray for black bikes ... they don't get dirty so easily

Thanks...that's just the black ones though. Tandem is orange, fixed gear is silver and the other road bike is primarily yellow.

That Marin photo is actually way out of date, it has been converted to drop bars (though I am thinking of going back to the flat), the fenders and rack have been removed and I'm now using it for family rides rather than commuting as a job change 3.5 years ago eliminated the ability to commute by bike. It did let me get a black Jetta TDI Wagon though.

Hmm the wife's road bike is black too.

Here is my old black bike. I loved it but it was a bit too big. (For Sale BTW)

Now I've got a black / white bike:

Pedal Force QS3 frame, 56cm. Love it.

Well, I own both a black bike and an orange bike, & I'm ****ing ecstatic to be riding around on either. Here's an old pic of the black one:

...and before anyone says something, yes, I've long since removed the enormous dork disk. Also replaced the wheels w/ DT Swiss handbuilts by Joe Young, changed the pedals to Speedplays, and swapped out the bars for Deda Big Piegas

Yah, so I'll be ordering a Red crank later today Unfortunately, I love ergo bars as they fit my hands way better than anything else. Might have to change out the handlebar caps as well.

This is my $450 special. Replaced rims with Shimano RS-10's after wearing out the horrible Alex rims. Sora RD replaced with 105 after there were shifting delays. Generic Nashbar carbon fork is also an improvment over the stock aluminum one. Brakes are 105 which are a vast improvement over the stock tektros. All in all a very capable bike that takes the brunt of my miles.
