Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is one of those songs that got so much airtime BITD that it just made me hate it. Sinead's cover of Nothing Compares is another one of those. Ugh.

Are you a west coast rider - and possibly riding with Rick Sieman / 'Super Hunky' ?

Agree. That said, either is better than 90% of the music on the radio/streaming services today.

There is a guy in Dallas who used to drive a 962 to Cars and Coffee and around town. Can't imagine driving one of those or a 917 on the street.

I mentioned at home that I would like another Lazer G1 as it is the best I've used in the heat. If I had two, I could rotate. That was met with, "How many helmets do you need? Can't you just rinse it off after a ride?" My response was, "That would be like owning one pair of underwear and washing it every night before bed."

My logic was not appreciated.

I saw a video of a James May driving one. Just watching him get into it was an eye-opener. And he absolutely towers over it!

have a lot of 1/64 and 1/32 scale 962's also lol ( we had vintage slot car racing classes )

I've seen some great cars at C&C - including a lot of Porsche's - but no 917 or 962

car in the attached pic is prob the most race-close car I've seen in the past couple of years ... can't recall the name of this car ... Lxxxxxx ? ...

I remained late just so I could see this car drive off - but the owner never did appear

I have some pictures of the 962, and may try to go back and find them.

As for the car in your picture, you never see The Batman until it's too late!

I would personally vote for a big bowl of oatmeal. Don't forget to pre-hydrate in the heat.
I usually do oatmeal but I think I’m going to start adding a bagel to that routine. I was pretty tired yesterday after just 4 innings, so hopefully the bagel will handle the first 4 innings and the oatmeal will handle the last four.

Ride didn’t feel bad this morning. Didn’t push it, but did dial it up a couple of times. Half expected to black out or something if my heart rate went above 150, but nothing happened. Everything felt normal, just my legs were a touch a weak.

Felt fine all day, installed a new TV, started moving the guest bed room into the office, the office into the master to make room a possible nursery.

The last hour a cough started again. I hope this doesn’t mean I am going to get worse again.

Rolled with the local group last night; thought I was immune from a beat up road on 32mm's. Not quite. Got sucked into a seam between the road that looked like it had been filled (shadows playing tricks). Rode it like a rail mine car; carbon on concrete for about 6-7 feet before getting tossed off. Never a dull moment over here. Elbow and knee took the heat, will be, OK. Had a thought of running slick 38's just to combat all the CRAP roads around here but ultimately I don't have tire clearance in the frame for it, nor the extra wattage to push 'em.
