Riding with blood thinners

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I highly recommend seeing a hematologist in addition to cardiologist. If your brother is having issues with the blood thinners and energy level, there must be something else going on. Like another poster on this thread, you have to be vigilant as your own advocate when dealing with the medical establishment. If your brother's medication does not work for him (ruling out other factors), he can always get a new medication. I have not heard of or had any of my doctors mention that as a side effect for blood thinners. Note, I believe depression may be caused by either a stroke or a heart attack, so you may want to watch out for that too. Best of luck to your brother! I hope he gets well soon.
