Hi Boxkite, I must say that you sound a bit like me when you describe your bikes. I really like my Rossin and I find it to be probably my nicest riding bike and it is fully Campagnolo C-Record equipped. I am fully committed to Campy although I do have bikes with other components, Campagnolo is THE stuff for me. I'm also right into Colnago's as it was my ultimate but too expensive to own brand when I was younger. I've nearly had two Gios' but things happened so I never realised that dream. I can also relate to the importance of the aesthetics and I can be like a 'dog with a bone' if I think I need a particular part to complete a bike. Anyway, I just thought that I related to your last message. Thanks for showing your great bikes.

Columbus AIR, early 80's. I think it was their first attempt at aero, or at least one of their 1st.

I have to agree with Boxkite. It's always very nice to have a special frame such as your Guerciotti. With it's aero shaped tubes and what looks like internal gear and brake cabling and gold colour it is something out of the ordinary. Columbus Air tubing is also something out of the ordinary.

Early 80s Olmo

This thread has made my feelings of regret resurface, specifically for having sold my early 80s Olmo road bike. I couldn't find much information on it at the time, but it always put a grin on my face. All I remember is that it was completely outfitted with Galli components. I installed that seat post because the original wasn't long enough. Although it had some intense seat post rise, I never had issues with ride comfort.

I have just finished turning a 90s tig welded Bianchi frame into a proper road bike. Iím very proud that Iíve wrenched the whole thing together myself, including the wheels.

You need to give at least a link to the post you refer to, maybe even the reply number of the one you are referencing, please.

Okay, its for the post above yours, its a current post though. Perhaps @Brian880 will answer the tagging I just posted.

Edit, I found a post by @Brian880, regarding them, they are a Normandy and a Helicomatic, here is the reply for your use:Hubs explained by Brian880

I picked this up a couple years ago. Original paint, but all the decals had been stripped off and numerous chips and scrapes in the paint. I had always admired this bike Gimondi rode, and though the one I built up is a '73, I think it's a fitting tribute.

The like button does not do this bicycle justice.

I don't recall ever seeing a Cinelli scheme I didn't like. They're elegant, distinctive, and classic, while also fast.

Daccordi Griffe, SLX, recently built up from a bare frameset. Rides great, nice handling. Lots of pantographing.

My Columbus SLX Simoncini has had a revamp. It has a new Columbus Max fork, 10 speed Campagnolo, 3TTT bars and stem and Look pedals, seen here with its regular wheels and its Sunday best wheels. I've made it into a full garish build. Done over 16,000 miles on this bike, always loved it and love it even more now.

After seeing a number of the bikes without paint, I can now only fault the graphics.
They were moving to stickers. I liked the earlier better, but these did have no top tube guides that always seem to rust. Had the shifter bosses brazed on, painted fork.
