Lovely bike! Judging by those vehicles in the background, you've got some bizarre neighbours.

This is believed to be a rare and perhaps singular mutation of the phillipistwentius... this colouration has never been seen in the wild and with use of a tracking tag have discovered that this individual has travelled as far south as Oregon and then returned to the northern reaches of Canada in the springtime. Physiology suggest that at some point the phillipis was able to breed with a wild nishiki.

It is most likely sterile and will be unable to interbreed.

The ability of the conseres fridayus to build a cocoon around itself and hitch a ride with other animals and humans seems to be a method for them to expand their range and habitat without expending undue amounts of energy.

They can remain cocooned for extremely long periods of time and will emerge when they sense the environment is favourable.

parva rota erucae suspensionis moultonis moultonis... although one of the oldest examples at the research centre (and a newer arrival) this old buck (you can tell by the horns) has been given a new lease on life through an organ transplant program which allows him to move about comfortably and actually remain competitive with much younger specimens.

At 47 years old this moultonis moultonis maintains a high degree of agility and stamina and ongoing observations suggest that it is not a predator but more like a sight hound in that it seems compelled to chase down every other bicycle it sees and they seeem to do this for amusement more than anything else.

Two conseres fridayus flew into PDX yesterday and survived the cocoon handling ordeal intact. This week they will explore Eugene's bike paths while also attending the NCAA track and field championship ... Tom

Just flew back from a week in Oregon attending the NCAA track and field championships. Next time we'll take folding kayaks and do some paddling.

Even got to visit Bike Friday's headquarters in Eugene.

I have been extremely happy with the Capreo. It is very quiet and always shifts smoothly - love the range but might try to go just a bit lower soon for weekend riding in the Western Kanagawa hills. Previous to this `09 Curve SL I had the `07 model with SA 5 speed hub which was a finicky PITA IMO. The Capreo requires only half a barrel adjuster turn every 6 months or so - and had to have the cassette tightened last month (after 4 years).

oyamus eastvillagus eastvillagus

Pictured herein is the illusive oyamus eastvillagus eastvillagus. This rare beast of Taiwanese origins appears to be curled up sleeping within the confines of a cold human office cubicle. No doubt its master is not far off prospecting for hard earned wages. The keen-eyed wild foldie enthusiast may find of interest the classic office worker surroundings in which the creature has found comfort and slumber.

In this rare private photograph taken by its master, fortuitously revealed to the public for the greater good, the very same aforementioned oyamus eastvillagus eastvillagus is portrayed unfurled and resting with its kick stand extended. The beast appears to be primed for action with its bright lights glowing, in clear anticipation of fleeing the predator and pouncing on prey as they are encountered.

Brompton flair

I finally decided on the way to personalize my Brompton! The location and length of the decal is perfect (bottom of rear triangle)! Doesn't stand out too much, yet it's still visible. Success!
