Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Depends on which you prefer - Roy Scheider or Ernest Borgnine.

Also, about your biopace rings. Apparently there are two versions. I don't know which mine is, but there's very little change in radius and it rotates.

short fuse might be more appropriate if the sizing messes with your cycling mojo.

Seller claims 57, with a 56 TT. I suppose I could put the Schwinn's 90mm stem on it

54 is probably my ideal size.

These are the more extreme, earlier version, I believe. They're obviously way out of round, just looking at them. I'll try them out, probably do the 'one arm over' thing. But I also have a set of 7410 Dura Ace rings could use if I can't stand them.

Oh! And I went back and looked carefully at the 1989 Schwinn Lightweight Bikes catalog online, and I found that even the 23" came with a 40 mm Cinelli Giro d'Italia bar. The 23 had a 110mm stem, vs the 22's 90. I suspect, once I get this 22" one all built up, all the 23" Circuits out there will crawl out of the woodwork, too late for me to buy them.

I suppose I should post a pic of the Circuit as I found it:

Mrs. GeneJockey commented on the horrible tape color. But the clean stuff underneath the old tape was even worse! Fluorescent chartreuse!

I have a bike with biopace and frankly can't tell the difference. Of course I'm just tooling around on it. Sad really, to some, I suppose. I have two top of the line(for their day) racing bikes, one with tubulars, and all I do is tool around on them. I find I'm not managing a 14mph average anymore.
Sad!

I actually love that paint job

Thankfully looks too big for me, too. I can ride up to about a 64cm but would prefer a 60 or 62 on something like that which would want to be ridden in anger.

Good ride in. The car guy got a new 2021 S Works Tarmac and was looking strong. The new bike placebo effect is real. Or maybe it was the fancy chain and CeramicSpeed OSPs.
