congrats to Grain Brain in thumping the competition on "stage 15"...aka eschborn-frankfurt! Semroc stays hot! ooga-booga
saw his shadow and is still mired in the winter of his discontent.

next race is grand prix du morbihan (your guess is likely better than mine) that sails on the 14th. riders likely up by the 12th at the latest. set a reminder!

Grand Prix du Morbihan is a single-day men's road bicycle race held annually in May around Plumelec, in the region of Brittany, France. Since 2020, the race is organised as a 1.Pro event on the UCI ProSeries, also being part of the French Road Cycling Cup.
Tro-Bro Léon (English: Tour of Léon, French: Tour du Léon) is a professional cycle road race held in Finistère, Brittany. The event was first run in 1984 as an amateur race before becoming a professional race since 2000. The race was established in 2005 as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. In 2020, the event joined the UCI ProSeries in its inaugural edition, although the cancellation of the 2020 edition meant that the inaugural event was held in 2021.[1]
A couple races around Brittany. Tro-bro-leon is a neat "gravel ish" race around some farm fields with a live piglet given to the winner. Thanks for the heads up!

catching up after a busy week...

grand prix du morbihan found Semroc at the top yet again! Grain Brain and yours truly respectively took the silver and bronze.

tro-bro léon found slcbob getting back into the groove with the w! Semroc rolls in just behind and yours truly drafted off a few motorcycles and team cars to nab third.

Tro Bro found me on a long weekend at a local charity ride and my team from the earlier day doing their thing. It goes to show I am my own liability and should just leave my monkeys alone to bang out Shakespeare.

Dang missed out on Tro-bro-leon; it's the race I should be most keen to watch but I ended up fixated on blockhaus then went about my day. Looked a real muddy mess too! Hofstetter for a much needed win.

Nice job at dwars door het hageland ooga-booga !

Oh sure this time it was Loïc that should've got my nod. Lotto Soudal with only one rider in top ten, another just outside.

thank you, Grain Brain. something about a blind hedgehog and an acorn...couldn't be bothered to even check the race parcours beforehand (relied on that tricky memory). probably a lesson in there somewhere but i'll be darned if i can find it.

Grain Brain took 2nd and canam73 took 3rd. we are now officially past the halfway point in the superclassico contest-sponsored by sisyphus! next event is approx 7 weeks away and around the end of the tour de france so i'll try to remember to send out a reminder post.

canam73 on a bit of a roll as of late...takes the donostia san sebastian klasikoa! Semroc and yours truly place and show.

the rainbow jersey competition is closer than it's been in quite some time.
Grain Brain's lead is down to 153 points...Semroc has closed the gap a bunch.

next race in 10 days...the eurométropole tour on august 10th.

Through extensive trial and error I have discovered that setting a line up for each race yields slightly better results.

But here I am giving away all my secrets.

A race is coming up. Choose wisely. Or at least soon.

Somehow, despite several sabbaticals, I am not in last place. But now that @canam73 is attuned to the dark arts of this contest, it may take some work to stay out of the broom wagon.

I'm stunned to see the upcoming Maryland Cycling Classic in the line up. Was that there all along, or did it just sneak in? I will be at that race, sans cardboard Oma / Opa sign or Borat thong, urging my picks onward. That is, if I remember to pick them.

Semroc takes circuit franco-belge! yours truly just takes second by a wheel over third-placed canam73.

european championships road race in a few days on august 14th...rosters probably available to change starting
tomorrow.

Semroc's been knocking on the door...claims the top spot in the overall superclasico from Grain Brain. Still
fourteen...yes, 14(!!!) races left before the virtual badger trophy and rainbow jersey awarded.

In for the European champs -- don't know what to make of it but a roll of the dice. Thinking Hofstetter places well.

now jakobsen shows up! he looked pretty cooked at the end of the tdf.

canam73 takes the european championships! Semroc takes second ahead of the combined beastie/unholy alliance

that is Grain Brain and slcbob...both photo-finishing at the same time/points amount. think that's the first time that's happened.
**edit**absolutely shocked to find out both of these miscreants tied each other a few races back in june. shocked! well, maybe not...

bemer cyclassics is on the 21st, just after la vuelta has started so keep an eye out.
