Show us your bike in front of the Tree
My tree's sincerity level went up considerably when I put the Bianchi in the shot:

Pretty white holidays so far in Penn's Woods. We've been buying live trees for years. Enjoy them thru then plant them. We have them all over the property. This one should move inside this weekend.
This was Tuesday morning after our first snow. That spot now has 8" of snow on it from last night. Tough day today clearing it away as needed. Yeah, normally the Raleigh does not go out in the snow but Jeff asked. ya see.
I'll bet BFisher has considerably more snow than we have and it will be much colder tonight up in them hills.

We started as the nest was emptied, maybe 10 years ago. As I now have CRS, I'd have to go walkies, and try to count em. One year I farted around too much and we lost that one. They are nice to see vs the ones that "accidentally" roll out of folks living rooms onto our property, at times.

"the tree", or "a tree"?
I happen to have access to a tree that has been the background for more than a few bike photos. Definitely too big to drag indoors!

My wife’s Tommasini in its usual place. She doesn’t like to lug it up and down from the basement.

If I were to bring a bike into the house proper to where the Christmas tree now stands...well, my body would likely never be found...

I started in the fall going on short rides through neighbourhoods taking pictures of my bikes in front of decorated lawns. This was part of my Christmas rendition.

Trees out on the Colorado plains are rare but when you find them they tend to be big. Cottonwood
This is more like it. Juniper.
Catalpa.
Tangle of invasive elms, Russian olive, and a few native cottonwoods.
A bit of a massive old cottonwood
I told ya they get big!
If you get high enough around here the trees tend to get small, old, and very tough. Those pines in the background could be 150 years old and only 3 inches in diameter. Air becomes somewhat scarce up there too.
What passes for a “tree” in Tucson.
