I also noted this is somehow missing a head badge (very weird...). Is it that hard to put a new one in?

They can get damaged pretty easily, because they are plastic. I had to replace mine, because it got badly scuffed just from being on my father's car rack (trunk-type). When you go online, looking for one, use the parameter: Raleigh badge. Don't try for just "Technium Badge". Many times, one will be listed as just a Raleigh badge, with the owner (seller) not knowing which type of Raleigh it went to. Just super-glue it on, but be sparing with the glue so it does not drip. This is the exact badge you need. Note that there are no bolt-holes:
