Inexpensive folder wheelset with freewheel rear hub.

Just ordered a set of these. My hubs and spokes on the Stowaway have pretty heavy rust that I wasn't looking forward to cleaning up. They have DEEP pitting. I've bought a lot of stuff from these guys and their descrptions are always very accurate. Don't really need or necessarily want the QR axles but for $69.97 with tires and free shipping who am I to complain? Hubs are heavier than mine, that's a definite plus. I already have a new set of Kenda 20 X 1.75's I bought for it but I have Grandkids so the 1.5 tires from the wheels will get used I'm sure.

Nothing fancy but if your wheels are nasty like mine they're perfect, heck tires and tubes are almost that much. They had other combinations listed as well.

Mine says Free shipping in the ad and I did NOT pay any shipping. Where are YOU seeing $40.00 Economy Shipping?

Apparently if you're not logged in it's $40 S&H. My apologies for the somewhat incorrect information.

No apology necessary, I would have had exactly the same reaction! That is strange........... You wouldn't think that would make any difference.

Definitely. Big difference between $40 and free but it still wouldn't be a terrible deal at $40 shipping.

The rims are the same as those on my much newer Boardwalk and as I said in the original post the hubs are much beefier than my old ones and not rusty as hell. I also don't have to rebuild the old hubs now either. Should be a few more pieces arrivng in the next couple days and then I'll tear it down for a frame up "rehaul/overbuild". A deep cleaning and clearcoat over the existing paint and graphics to preserve them, then new crankset, chain, pedals, wheels, tires, shifter, cables, brake calipers, derailleur, saddle and grips. I found a couple brand new 7 speed freewheels while looking for something else this week so I might as well throw one of them on it as well and be done with it LOL. Wanted a little color on it so I got orange Jagwire cables, they're not a bright orange though, they're a "muted" orange I guess you'd call it. They look good against the frame color and the brighter orance graphics. I'll do a before and after thread when it's all done.

Wheelset arrived today, The tires are Kenda Kwest 20 X 1.50, not the high pressure version though. I have some Kenda K909A 20 X 1.75's to put on them, I'll use the 1.5's on something else. Not much else to say other than they are exactly what they said they are. They will definitely be an improvement over the originals with their scarred up brake tracks and rusty scaley spokes and hubs.
