1971 Raleigh International 61cm: Your next Winter Project?

Purchased from the original owners son, this 1971 International is complete (minus bar tape, cables/housings and tires) and pretty much original, as far as I can tell.
The seller told me his father purchased two bikes in 1971 and used this International to commute to work for a couple of years and then it was stored in a garage since.
Below is a link to a series of photographs to show condition and what is included in the sale:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Je7CbFTCd4Yq8rPv9

I broke the bike down to its frame set, cleaned, degreased and inspected everything prior to putting it up for sale. All bearing surfaces are in great shape. Free wheel, bottom backet cups and seat post/stem were removed with no issues.

I re-packed the hubs with fresh Park grease and the will probably need a final adjustment but spin super smooth

24 inch/61cm frame
58.5 cm top tube
120 rear spacing
Tubular wheels and all original parts. The rear brake is a Weinman "Schwinn Approved" which the seller said was swapped in at the time of purchase.
Payment through PayPal, Venmo or personal check
Asking $550, net of any ,fees shipped in the lower 48 . Please let me know if my pricing is off. It been a while since I sold a full, Campy equipped C&V bike

Ain’t that just the way. A guy waits patiently for a couple of years for Chartreuse International in his size to pop up and 48 hours after paying a little more than he planned for a bare frame, a smoking deal for an almost complete pops up. At least it was already sold by the time I looked.

Enjoy that thing!

(also, I would like to be in line if the deal falls through. I wouldn’t mind two).

WOW, that all happened FAST!!! Congratulations to both the buyer and seller.

My Grail bikes when I was 16 in 1971 were either an International or Competition, didn't matter which to me, but they were WAY out of my means so I settled for a red '71 Grand Prix which I loved just the same. I did finally get a Competition, a nice '73 frameset I'm currently building up, but I still prefer the '71 graphics.

Ha, sounds very familiar! I just "settled" for a champagne 71 Int'l earlier this year after deciding that the chartreuse in my size would never show up...

Guess it's time to pop the champagne!

I thought long and hard about buying Kilroy’s International but I really wanted the Chartreuse.

Sorry, copper fans. Chartreuse is the best. Enjoy it!
