So far it will get the parts it came with that seem to be mostly original, RD is 73, cranks are diamond 4. Nasty as they were, they seem to all be cleaning up very well. Tubie wheels are very nasty and will get cleaned up but substitutes will be employed for the build to ride it.

I foolishly turned down an opportunity to have Andy build me a frame in 2009 .

Tx, already have 3/4 others but this is a quintessential one from the prime early years, one of the others is as well and despite being bigger and much closer to my size, it is pretty rough and beat up having had at least a couple repairs and I had it straightened from a front ender, it is stripped and waiting for further evaluation of further repair.

That sucks almost as much as having him bow out after agreeing to build mine in 2019, luckily Dave Levy was happy to do it and Andy gave his blessing.

Yep, threaded, we don't see many Strawberry's with Campy DO's, most seem to have these.

One big downside here, cancer, not horrible but there.

Not as bad as I envisioned so I plan to spot treat and frame saver for now but will need to seriously evaluate more.

May have to strip and mothball as paint is not in the cards anytime soon.

Interestingly, the TT, and SS's have no vents that I can find, so..... the plot sickens.

May take a burr and vent the TT to get some saver in there, we'll see, maybe drill the SS's too.

Will buildup and ride anyway unless something more life threatening comes to light.

Congrats on the score, that is one finely made piece o' steel. Di Nucci built?

The dropouts were sold under several names, including Milremo and Mavic, but probably not made by either of those companies. Someone here might know. I have a pair, raw, they are stamped Milremo on the flats where the axle goes. Good quality, equal to Campy I'd say, and interesting with the eyelet semi-hidden like that.

Crown looks like a Fischer, can you confirm? Some more pictures might answer that for me.

Rear hub looks like it has an extra spacer on the right side of the axle, more space than normal between the small cog and the frame. Since that adds to wheel dish, i'd take it out if you can. Unless that makes the chain hit the seatstay (or unless I'm hallucinating the extra space, and the wheel is already spaced right!)

I hate to say it, but the paint job is my least favorite part of it, so if the cancer (rust) needs rooting out, I wouldn't be too sad. Those stripes on the color transitions on the stays look like an afterthought to me. I'm the first to admit though, my opinion counts for zero here, it's your bike. Keep us posted on the progress.

Tx Mark always very much value and appreciate your input, and somewhat agree as it was uber ugly until I got it cleaned up and now its growing on me. it appears to be original so it will stay as is for the foreseeable future.

Yes assume it has to be DuNucci, any thoughts on no TT or SS vents, advise to burr the TT and or drill the SS's?

No stamping on these RDO's that I can see.

Here"s some more crown pics.
