New Bike Forums Appearance..?
What happened to the appearance or look of Bike Forums. I do not like what I am seeing now and hope the moderators go back to the original appearance of the website. This new format is confusing, annoying and not user friendly.
Perhaps my computer is at fault. If there is a setting to get back to normal, I would appreciate knowing how to use it. Thanks for any help offered.

Could you elaborate? I can't detect anything different about the format.

You may be viewing the mobile site. If you go to the menu in the top left corner there should be a ‘view full site’ option.
If that’s not it, post screen shots, preferably from the drive side.

Everything looks the same as it's been from what I can see, too

No change in appearance nor format here on Classic lately, nor for years, thankfully. The last time was quite troublesome.

I am with @randyjawa : for me on both the mobile site and the PC based forum, several months ago the format changed to something "more modern" and slightly less functional. I figured, oh well get used to it. Suddenly about a week ago on my PC it went back to "classic" format but remained "modern" on my phone browser.
For reference this is "classic" on my PC:

randyjawa and makk900 are both in Canada. Oddly, the internet sometimes does different things in different countries. Yesterday it was just plain wacked here in Mexico, for example. I couldn't do anything in a normal fashion.

Moved here from classic and vintage. Complaining about it there will get no attention at all from the people that control page styles, whereas someone from IB watches this forum occasionally.
Just as a note, moderators and admins have almost no influence over things like the page style. That's IB. There is a style selector at the bottom of every page, but all I see is the ability to switch from desktop to mobile

clubman I use Firefox exclusively on the PC so I am not having the same issue as you. I will say that I cleared my cache and cookies, and that made a difference too.

Randy, any chance your desktop defaulted to the https://m.bikeforums.net mobile domain? It happens to me when I bring up some - not all - threads from Google.

Changes for mobile vs desktop, or browsers, or computer desktops / operating systems can effect the look and feel of the GUI I do not see how countries could change the UI unless its like China where they are forcing ISP to filter / block certain content.

Thanks Joel! The mobile skin does work better on the phone so I will leave it there; not sure how I (for several months) ended up with the mobile skin on my PC, nor do I know how I went back to the "full site" skin. No matter it is the way I want to use it now.

Things not working except in privacy mode always means some kind of bad site data. That's because privacy/incognito mode doesn't use cookies. Clearing site data fixes it, as you found out.
