Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We are still finding stuff that has been damaged from the freeze of 2021. We've already replaced the main pool pump and the flow valves initially. Then a few months later we had to replace the booster pump for the cleaner since it leaked. Now, we have to replace the filter because it is leaking from the bottom due to freeze damage. When will it end???

It rained a little here last night and sprinkled a bit this morning. That might be it for the season.
My regular group ride friends are out of town so I have to decide what to do. Might do a club ride, but which one? So bad with decisions.

That's a nice, high zoot Dura Ace Di2 level project!

We replaced two of those in the last year. Likely looking at #3 this summer. Unfortunately, the last one to replace is the largest and the one that cools all of our first floor living space.

Not sure how you do that. I won't even let the OD touch my eye to do a pressure test.

You'd have one if you lived here.

I won't say it's essential, but if you want to spend time outside in the summer down here it sure is nice!

You know who else? People who live in places that don't freeze.

That said, I only have a pool because it was there when we bought the house. I wouldn't build a new pool for myself...and I'm a pool contractor.

It's not supposed to freeze like it did last year in this area. Oh, and the power grid is not supposed to go down like it did.

Many thanks to Abbott and his crony a-holes.

The doc uses an eye speculum. I couldn’t blink even if I wanted.
