That Velodrome thing only has 2 people. I talking a proper race. 100 yard dash like Olympic sprinters lined up 8 in a row.

Look up Keirin, a mostly Asian track racing discipline. Motor paced for a few laps then an all-out full(?) contact race for the finish. Commonly promoted as a betting sport in Asia.

No there is no bike race identical to the 100m dash, and why would there be? Are there 21 day stage races around France for runners? Of course not, because that would also be stupid.

It's not a thing because people don't want to watch it. I was a track sprinter in school, but have no interest in watching that. These are the only things that would make it exciting:
