Suntour 888 Barcon / Bar End Ratcheting Power Shifter Instructions Scan

When a new part is purchased, it usually comes with some kind of instruction pamphlet but most of the time, we toss them. But, some people don't. I found this Suntour 888 Barcon / Bar End Ratcheting Power Shifter assembly/installation instructions and an exploded view from a box of parts I purchased. I believe this came with the purchase of a new set of Suntour bar end shifters. And since they have such valuable information on them, I figured it would be best to share it with everyone. You never know who needs to know how to install a set of these beauties or needs to identify a missing internal piece.

Also, if anyone wants this paper document, PM me and I'll send it your way at no charge.

Thank you for sharing that. In the 80's I had Suntour Bar End Shifters on all my touring bikes - I love them! I still have them on three of my collection and to this day think it was by far the best and safest of all vintage era shifting systems.

I am new to Bike Forums - perhaps some of the old hands here can advise if there is a repository of data posted here that is cataloged somewhere on this site?

Ah yes! I am still a newbie here and learning my way around the halls of the Bike Forum institute. That is a great resource indeed. Thank you for the reminder Fabiofarelli.
