this is a cheaper peloton. as far as i know the peloton requires a membership to use, does this too? what is the cost of membership?

personally, i don't like the idea of perpetually paying just to use a spin bike. it is almost like a permanent lease.

This type of bike you turn a knob to change the resistance. I use to ride one like that 50 years ago. These type of bikes now have “connected” classes to try an make it “fun” to ride. It will quickly become a place to hang clothes on.
Get a smart trainer or bike and you will get a more engaging experience. An a hour on the bike will go by fast.

Unless you really must get a spin bike, I would ALWAYS recommend a smart trainer instead.

Even a lower end model wheel-on smart trainer will be better than a spin bike with manual resistance adjustment.

With Peloton's subscription renewal rate of over 92% and on average, a single Peloton subscriber completes over 21 workouts per month. Many people can find a standard exercise bike a positive experience.

It will be interesting how It plays out. I have been riding indoors for training for years.
I ride 7 days a week. It’s a habit people are doing it because they are not going to gyms during this time.
