9 miles today up and down horsetrails mostly up it seemed. I thought I could do another 8 on a regular gravel gravel but my lungs disagreed. Bit quite a bit more than I can chew today.

Thankful to post this thread

Puget Sound glory - dry weekend, mornings above 50* topping out over 60, clouds and sun in afternoon.

I just liked this tree color and up closer

Riding a comfortable Ti bike with comfortable tubulars.

Issaquah, WA - just off the ‘main drag’ thru town

A nice ride before going into work today. I’ve decided I want to use most of my energy to benefit me before I go to work. 😏

Reward after today’s ride. The Porter and onion rings were worth all the headwinds.

It was a fine day for a ride today, the weather was in the upper 50s and low 60s with plenty of sun and winds. I took out my '92 Stumpjumper drop bar conversion and did a 16 mile ride that was part road, part non-technical offroad. It's time to start logging some serious miles; today's ride was a small downpayment.

Wonderful day for a ride in the high 50s, low 60s. Rode almost 30 miles and 1500’. Since its been unseasonably cool and wet, the local mountains still have fresh snow which makes for great views.

Mid 50s, grey skies, light wind, first time out since Saturday. Saturday was beautiful riding weather, but I had no energy and had to limp home after going only 4 miles (for a total of 7 miles). Toughest ride I can remember. Today, 13.5 miles, arrived home fresh.

Weather has been lousy this year compared to 2021. I'll go out if projections say it's likely to stay dry, temp is and will stay above 50, and wind is not over 20. I think that's happened only 4 or 5 times this month in North suburban Chicago.

Perfect temperatures in NC today. I ridiculously slow 104 miler but felt good the whole ride. Trying to get the mileage back up.

Rode a whopping 8.5 miles and 1000’ on single track. Forded two creeks and got plenty muddy. Never too old to play in the mud.

I took a good nap after church today and then got in a nice unplanned ride. About 23 miles, light wind, and temps in the mid 70s. All the yard work I had to do wasn't as important as getting out for a solo ride.

Been sick and getting over some bronchitis but took an easy ride that stretched to 25.5 miles. Temperature got up to 71 F. Good ride. Tired tonight but needed the ride.

Five Boro Tour. It was fun riding through closed streets and highways with 32,000 people.

Always thankful to post this thread

Another hop over to Issaquah (yesterday). About 21-22miles, before counting in the doodling around. Felt like taking a longer ride, temp rose above 60* here on the Eastside foothills. But grass mowing, bush trimming and weedly whacking beckoned to be completed before days’ end.

Issaquah Senior Center - nice bronze art - and bikes.

An old codger I hang with occasionally. Loves me a good triple chainwheel.

A unique sorta coral or pink salmon colour in real time.

The gliders were out

Saguaro National Park (East, Loop Drive, halfway)

Today my friend and I rode around the loop at Saguaro National Park. It was called Saguaro National Monument nearly fifty years ago, and was my old stomping ground. Tucson is a great bicycle town, and a visit here without a ride around the loop drive at Saguaro East is missing a lot. It's like a time capsule - it hasn't changed a bit, and hooray for that! Lots of memories. Great day!

For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to do a climbing ride just to see where my cycling fitness (or lack there of) currently stands. Since I really haven’t ridden as much this year and with no climbing miles I was hoping “muscle memory” might kick in. Unfortunately it’s even worse than I imagined! But it was a really gorgeous day and I survived……

About 64 miles with 7100’ of climbing. Marion to Mitchell and back.

When I got back home my incredible wife had prepared a Cinco de Mayo meal topped off with strawberry cobbler! That’s NOT lemon lime Gatorade in my glass!!

Climbing up Hwy 80 to the Blue Ridge Parkway

Love shadows dancing on the mountains

More views, headed that way

Just a 5 mile climb from here to the top

At the top

Mountain roads in NC

Another great view from the Parkway

Taco salad and casserole plus margaritas!

Fresh strawberry cobbler with incredible crust

Sorry was a short ride before the rain so no pictures. Was not going to ride but decided a short one and try to push it. Drive of the last of the bronchitis. A little over 14 miles but averaged 18.4 mph on an out and back. With fenders attaches.
