Rossin frame

Hi, I recently picked up this Rossin frame, and was wondering if anyone could help me age/identify it? All the components that came with it are Campy although I'm not sure what groupset they are. Dropouts are Columbus. Thanks!

More of a guess, 1987 based on details. 2 bottle bosses, cable routing, braze on fd, solid paint. The paint got fancy fades latter moving toward 1990.

what is the seatpost? rear spacing? is there rifling in the fork? Thanks for posting it looks like an interesting production.

Rear spacing is 130mm, seatpost 27.2mm. I don't believe the fork is rifled

Seatpost that's in the frame is 27.2mm, although it looks almost like it's been sanded down a little so maybe it should be 27mm. Parts on it are Triomphe. I can't seem to find anything similar anywhere so if anyone could help shed some light on it it would be much appreciated!

1988? No pentagon around R on headbadge, and oddly non striped around Rossin down tube/seat tube.

...maybe an Aelle/Cromor/Matrix level? Usually stripes indicate Record and Ghibli...Columbus drops and nondescript BB point that way as well.

I looked through the '88 catalog and it doesn't seem to be close to anything in it. Unless it's one the non-descript road frames that appear in the back of some of the catalogs I've seen.

I'd guess a mid range frame of a mid to late 80's build. It's a Rossin so I naturally like it.

Doesn't seem to be a repaint, so could it have been made for a different market, perhaps? Transitional paint schemes before the colors exploded.

I am still thinking 1987-1989 but I am certainly no expert.

It will likely be a great rider.

This is in Canada so possible for it to be an out of market frame I guess. Would I be correct in assuming the tubing would be Columbus? Or did Rossin use any other brands?

Almost sure that the tubing is at least Cromor or at least Gara...I wouldn’t think they use anything but Columbus, and the dropouts are Columbus...so I am guessing Cromor level...which is a great tubing set.

wish my Cromor Faggin fit me, but the VanTuyl is awesome.

That's what I figured. Just wanted to be able to put the sticker on once I get it repainted
