Will STI shifters fit into a track handlebar?
Will STI shifters fit into a track handlebar? I find i like the shape of a track handlebar...can I use it for road use? That means..can sti shifters fit inside? what are the drawbacks of using track bars in road use? thanks!

Nope. Track bars are thicker than regular ones so the levers won't fit.
About the only thing that does are oversized brake levers on the tops.

Yup. Track bars are the same diameter as road bars so the levers will fit.
Check the specs on the bar you're interested in though. Shimano levers will work on bars with a grip section diameter from 23.8 to 24.2mm.
They used to call road bars with a trackish shape to them criterium bars.

If you are talking carbon bars then not so good. Steel bars will be a rough go. Aluminum is pretty easy.
Take some measurements on the bar and see if machining them is a possibility.

You most certainly can use track bars with STI levers. I used the 1st-gen Dura-Ace 8spd brifters for a while, but didn't like how the added weight slowed down the handling, so went back to downtube shifters:

STI's ARE brifters and bar-end shifters aren't called STI's. I believe the OP does want to use bar-ends and is misusing the term STI for all bar mounted shifters.
