HELP identifying vintage fisher mountain bike

Hello!

Picking up a vintage fisher mountain bike later today. Trying to pin down it’s year and model since the current owner is pretty clueless.

Also I’m a new member so it’s not letting me add photos )))))))))

I think it’s an 86 but ye id love help…

The frame is a bright blue/ sea foam, all the welds look fillet brazed, it has the biopace crankset, oval pedals, color matched bullmoose bars, thumb shifters, shimano headset, shimano deer head derailleurs, cantis, araya rm20 wheels…

appreciate any help! Thx

you can go to your profile and add pix in a gallery you make there.
Then somebody can copy and paste them to this thread.
Otherwise yes you DO have to wait until you reach the 10-post threshold to directly add photos to a thread.
A Fisher that old may have the wider BB shell and pressed-in BB unit, maybe. Something to be aware of...

The Vintage Trek site may be able to help. Yhey have some marketing catalogs on there that I believe go bsck to the early 90's. I've used them once to date my Fisher Marlin and dozens of times on my Lemonds. Good luck!

Very cool, no real help from me but I'm thinking you're lucking out with "current owner pretty clueless".

Those bars and this are a huge deal, you need to buy a lottery ticket to go along with this.

Never mind how nice this appears to be, this could be a grail bike for many, I think this may be very special.

That's in incredible shape. Does it say Hand Built on the seat tube? It has some real value but don't ask for an appraisal! (inside joke) Nice!

Oohh la-la!
So what about the BB? Is it an extra wide job or "normal width"?
Looks like a "normal" Shimmy 600 sealed HS so this has a 1" steerer, right?
