Quick ID - star shaped logo

Cool bike showed up for sale. Anybody can help me identify the brand? The star shaped logo is familiar but can't put a name on it. Thanks!

Do you happen to have a picture of the star-shaped logo? Can't make it out from what you've posted. Thanks

My bad. It's true that it's not perfectly clear on the picture. It's on the the downtube. And here again on the seat tube.

Looks like an Olmo, or a Carl's jr super star...

Picture looks more like it was taken in wide angle than a bent fork.

this particular star with the rounded points came into use during the 1970's

have not known a specific year

the earlier Olmo five pointed star had pointed points and was usually shown in gold/yellow and brown with each point divided radially into yellow and brown halves

I don't think I would trust the decals: sure it looks like a Olmo star but the "RECORD" decal on the DT is nothing familiar. It could be a decent frame but it looks like a "dog's breakfast" of components, what I can see (maybe) are: swaged low -grade Stronglight crankset, mid-range Modolo brakes, fancy few-spoke modern wheels, fancy Mavic HS (??) and generic Asian platform pedals (Crank Bros knock-offs?) A RD that could be a Simplex but more like a rebranded Simplex for Italian Co. (like GPM maybe?). I could be wrong about some of these guesses but doubt that any of this would have been on an all-chrome Olmo as OEM. It's a weirdo but if the size is yours and the price is right...

There's a few similar bikes. Google 1983 Olmo Aero. Nothing identical mind you, the brake bridge and fork crown look different.
