Today marks the end of single-use plastic shopping bags (a/k/a Philadelphia tumble weeds) in Philly.
That was one odd thing I encountered during my recent tour. They were nearly impossible to get at stores. I typically don't use them a home, but they come in handy as trash bags when bike camping. To address that problem, I would try to remember to grab a produce bag whenever possible.

I've just always hated plaid flannel. I remember as a kid when the plaid shorts fashion came around, I was like "ewww".

And while I'm here, what's with the threaded, Ultregra BB on the commuter? Every few weeks it develops an awful click on both power strokes. I take it apart, look at it critically, finger it amorously, lube it randomly, reassemble it, and the click is gone for a while.

I got the GPS file for tomorrow's "Savage Century" ride. The amount of climbing is only 7800 feet. Not so savage after all.
My friend told me about a "Hilier than Thou" ride in NJ that is about 12000 feet of climbing for 100 miles. Must investigate....
